Antiquitiy, or other PAF type bucker in a strat?

Heavy

Of course there's the EVH/78 which I had and was gonna get another, but I'm really interested in something with more of that cello kinda sound on the low strings and the bright top end. A little more organic I guess.

Looking for suggestions or thoughts. Doesn't have to be SD. Voodoo, Wolftones or _______ ?

A '59 is always nice for what you are asking for. You can't lose with one of those.

Yes, I did have one in a strat before and it was pretty nice. But I did not like it as much as the EVH.

But to my ears, the best sounding clip on the duncan site is the Seth Lover. It's open and no funky frequencies standing out. The 59 does not sound as good in those clips. I did like the sound of the Pearly Gates, but then listen to the Seth, and the Seth still sounds better. Has good balance.

the seth sounds great. and really exceptional in those clips.

the clips are great but i wouldnt rely on them solely.

are you using this with single coils or just the bridge bucker?

The guitar will be typical H-S-S. The Seth probably doesn't come in trembucker and will have long legs too. So I'm back to an EVH I guess. Maybe a Pearly Gates. How close is that to a 78/EVH?
