Antiquity Custom Bridge for Strat

Hi, it's my first post on this forum and would like to salute everybody.
My question concerns about the Antiquity Custom bridge for Strat.
I've found this in a Shop in Germany and was curious about it, any one has experiences with this pickup?
My next Strat will entirely have SD pups, I have decide for a Surfer2 in the neck, SSL1 in the middle and have doubts about the bridge.
Any thought on the Antiquity Custom bridge?
Cheers

Re: Antiquity Custom Bridge for Strat

I think it would be good. I had one in one of my strats, and it was very nice. The weight of opinion on this forum seems to be that the Surfers are better pickups, but the Custom is great in my book :)

Hi, thanks for the reply, I have not found any info on this pickup, I would like to know the specs

Re: Antiquity Custom Bridge for Strat

There's actually two Ant Custom bridge pickups: the Ant Surfer (alnico 5) and the Ant Texas Hot (alnico 2). Both are superb and both are over wound compared to vintage Strat pickups. Both are wound to between 9.5K and 10K.

If the price is right, buy it. I love those pickups. Leo should have wound them that way right from the get go.

The Surfer is brighter than the Texas Hot and more like a hot vintage pickup. The Texas Hot has smoother treble and a lot more mids and the Surfer has tighter deeper bass with more treble.
