I have this Ant neck pickup left. Wonder if it will actually work in the BRIDGE position of a Les paul....anyone tried this?

Re: Antiquity neck -> bridge position Les paul

i havent tried it. might be ok, might be a little bright, thin or weak. they arent very hot pups to begin with. should be very detailed and clear

Re: Antiquity neck -> bridge position Les paul

You might be right about that Jeremy. But those neck Ant's read somewhere round 7,5 Kohm. So that would be in the exact original PAF era wouldn't it?

Why bother? Ant neck humbuckers are worth more than bridge. You should have no trouble finding a trade.

My Ant set has quite a bit of difference between neck and bridge. I don't think I can exchange them and smile.

Re: Antiquity neck -> bridge position Les paul

paf's were all over the place. 7.5k is a very legit reading but so is 8.5k

Re: Antiquity neck -> bridge position Les paul

The bridge Ant in my R8 (early set) is 7.3 vs 7.4 neck Ant. I replaced it with a newer 8.45
bridge that was newer, hated it, put the old one back. The original two sounded much better in the middle setting.

I guess I'm saying it'd work fine in combination with an underwound neck pu.

Ok patrick, so I quess it's worth trying! Is there a difference anyway between Ant neck and bridge pickups except for the Kohms?

Re: Antiquity neck -> bridge position Les paul
