Antiquity pickups

Mmmmmmmm......

Hey im not really sure if anyone can help me answer this, but what can I expect with two antiquity pickups in my gibson explorer running through an orange tiny terror. I play a huge variety of styles from jazz to indie to hard rock. Will they pull it off? Im looking for more of a vintage sound with clear highs and fat lows. I want sparkle on clean and fat raunchy-ness on disto. Lemme know what you think, or if you have any other suggestions.

Re: Antiquity pickups

Er, which exact variant of the Gibson Explorer do you have? Ants on Koa (Limba) ought to sound righteous. On regular mahogany, they might sound less Heavy Metal than you may be expecting.

My personal taste would be for an Antiquity rhythm/neck position HB and something a bit ruder for the treble/bridge.

Re: Antiquity pickups

Its just the standard 76 re. all mahogany. Im not looking for something extremely heavy because although only 15 watts, the tiny terror sounds huge.
