Antiquity Question (Double cream??)

Hey guys,
First post after lots of lurking. There's a ton of info here and you have a great forum.
I'm going to install a set of Ant's in my Hamer Studio and was wondering about the coil colors - are they generally double cream? I've owned many Seth Lovers and all were double cream. Wasn't sure about the antiquities. If I remove the covers I would prefer double cream.
Thanks.

Bobbin color is a random thing. If you want DC bobbins on your Antiquities you need to order them that way.

Any reputable SD dealer can order them that way for you. I would suggest one of the online dealers from this site.

Thanks for the link SRS. It's been so long since I have actually bought a pickup that I wasn't sure who was still dealing!

anytime rob!

and to chris, you can get double creams from duncan if you order it with a cover(since it's technically not sold as a double creme, or somesuch).

Re: Antiquity Question (Double cream??)

doesnt dimarzio have a patent on double cream?

No they have a trademark. Entirely different and more sinister for sure. A patent expires after 20 years a trademark NEVER expires. The reason for that is that with a trademark the company is claiming that the trademarked attribute should be protected because it defines the company.

you have to buy duncan double creams with a cover on, cant buy a double cream duncan uncovered. you can take the cover off once you have the pup
