Antiquity Texas hot bridge to match up with Fender CS69'S

Well after quite a bit of thought I have decided to keep the Fender Custom Shop 69's in my Oly White American Strat and just replace the Dimarzio Super Distortion bridge humbucker with a proper single coil.

I was going to use the Seymour Duncan Texas hot cust bridge. Would this be a good choice? Will it match up well the the cs69's in neck and middle?

Also, as I currently have a full sized bucker in the bridge I am using a 500k volume pot. Do I really need to change this back to 250k. I was thinking that because the Texas Hot is a little bit darker sc the 500k may work well?

Thanks for the help lads.

i'unno about single coils too much, but i will say that i'd reccomend changing over to a 250k pot, it'll keep the pickups (bridge especially) from being too thin. how are you wiring the tone pots?

I would change it back. Also, make sure that you're wiring the pickups so that they're in phase (unless you want that thin, funky sound in the bridge+middle position). Duncans and Fenders are not always wound the same direction.

if you like the cs69 with the 500k pot then i might try the texas hot custom with the 500k before you change it. you may like it the way it is.
