Antiquity Texas Hots - regular vs cloth wire

Hi all, I have a set of Texas Hot Antiquity pickups I bought back in the 90s and recently dug out of storage to put into an old Strat. I noticed that the pickups have regular plastic coated electrical wire instead of cloth wire, and there were also some loose cloth wire pieces in the box. My question is, should I solder the cloth wire to the plastic coated wire, or should I remove the plastic coated wire and put in all new cloth wire?

thanks in advance,
-Dave

Did the Ant ever carry plastic coated wire? I dare to say No. Are they really Ants? Were they modified in the past?

I thought Antiquity singlecoils all used the cloth covered wire, but perhaps it wasn't always that way.
If they're genuine and you have the skills, I'd replace the plastic with cloth covered.

It turns out you were both right, they weren't the right pickups, LOL! It turns out back in the day I had installed the Ants on another guitar and put the replaced ones back in the Ant box. Just found the real ones on another guitar. Thanks for the spot-on feedback that put me on the right track.
