They both have their place in the bass world.
Ant I's are kind of "bluesy" , bassier, vintagey, round, warm.
The Ant II's have a bit more mid's, output and cut in a live mix.
Both have a nice spongy attack thanks to the weaker magnets.
I love the feel of Ant's for bass especially. There's improved sustain
also due to the magnets.

Weather Report set in the custom shop is like the ant 2, but with a tweaked brighter wind and more output. Think of it likr an ant 3 and the same difference is applied.
