Any cables tester helpers here? Any idea what this means?

Re: Any cables tester helpers here? Any idea what this means?

I’d say the sleeve on the left is contacting the tip and sleeve on the right... but I use a multimeter. ;)

I’m puzzled. It’s one conductor and a shield. Why light up three LEDs?

The “ring” and “sleeve” are one on a T/S... so it’s probably just showing what has continuity with the sleeve connection on the left.

I appreciate the replies, but being a newb, I'm not sure what it means I need to do to fix this. I've made about a dozen of these George L cables and about 4 are giving me this trouble, and 8 are A-OK.

Can I supply more information to help? If I get this worked out I can finally get all my pedals hooked up and rockin'

Normally, the top row has LED on the 1 and 3 position when the bottom LED is on the 1 or 3 position. When I move the bottom LED to the 2nd position the top 2nd position LED lights. That's for good cables.

Redo the right connector in this case being careful to keep the cable perfectly round when you insert and seat it.
