Any cheap way to transport a cabinet to Europe?

Seeing all the custom cabinets people in the USA can get makes me pretty jealous... How the heck are Europeans supposed to get those???!!! I guess we're stuck paying huge retail prices...

Is there a cheap way to transport large items like that? I was thinking maybe by boat. Slow as hell, but cheap? I wonder if you can dodge tax like that...

Aren't there companies that specialise in this kind of transport? For example, if you move house from the USA to Europe and you want to take furniture with you.

How about flying to the USA on holiday, and then checking in the cabinet as luggage? It'll probably be overweight but could be worth it.

Gah... well I suppose this is more of a rant than anything else, but any brilliant ideas are greatly appreciated.

Freight it, not cheap by surface (ship) and even more expensive by air. I don't see how you can avoid import fees. Good luck.
