Any Clips of the BG1400 in action?

Re: Any Clips of the BG1400 in action?

Stevo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

those clips sound pretty good!

30K .... wow .... I'm guessing it doesn't clean up much, although the "twangy" clip is surprising

I really like that. I was considering puting the Hot for Tele Neck SC in as well. Greatly appreciated. From what I have seen and read of the BG1400 it can be split like any other stacked humbucker correct?

Re: Any Clips of the BG1400 in action?

Hi guys. Curly, that is a spanky clean pickup, even with the resistance. I hear that it is more of a rock pickup as opposed to a country pickup though. The edge is a little more glassy I think.
Nathan, this is a stacked pickup but not the king you'd split. The stack is there to cancel noise.
I really like this pickup because it can twang and it can rock, without the hum.

Nice clips Stevo !

I grabbed a BG off the Trading Post a while back with the thoughts of throwing it in my Glendale, maybe turning it into an Esquire.

Do you find you use the bridge more than anything, the neck more or a good mix of both ?

FYI ... the specs say, "make sure your guitar's pickup cavity has at least .83" clearance."

Thanks for the info. I was just toying with the split idea in case I wanted to get a more single coil feel out of it, even if it would still be screaming hot. :)

Stevo,

What value pots do you use with the BG1400. I currently have 500Ks in but think 250K's may be in order with this pup.

Curly, that WAS/IS a concern. Not sure of the depth, but yeah, the pickup is tall.

I'd prefer not to alter the guitar (which looks a lot like your avatar. Shoreline Gold ?), but it plays beautifully & I'd rather not get another one.......I've narrowed it down to 3 perfect players, so....

We'll see.....thanks for all the info ! :beerchug:
