Re: Any Dimarzio cruiser users? what'd you think?
I use a neck crusiser in the middle position of my maple night fly and it's a great pup- relaetive low out put for a dual rail (far less than a cool rail) and rather straty- An extremely good spliter (JB in bridge and cool rail at neck) and also does well in self parllel- Also very nice spic a split- More then you could ask for for a center or neck pup-
He's how I break out my 3 favorite dual rails-
Joe Baerden S delux- The gold stanard-clean and straty, slwoly moves into beefy range as you spin in snd coil at whiich point it is huge and somwehat clean- Like a mini-bucker.
Crusier- Exactly in the middle- Clean is stratlike, but not quite as detailed as teh barden- Warms up very slowly and never really crunches on it's own.
Cool rail- Starts strat like, darkens wiht 2nd rail added, and quickly picks up gain for pretty heavy overdirive at ful blown.
IN summary,
I see Bardens working best for coutry, or any aticuilate material
Drusier, good in the middle strat with some flexibility to go anywhere
Cool rail, strat that moves to steroids (hard blues or hardrock)
