Any Diy, handmade pedal cases out there?

Re: Any Diy, handmade pedal cases out there?

I made one. It would be a model of what NOT to do.. haha I made it heavy duty, hoping that it would see road use. Was about 36 inches long, 25 inches front to back of 1/2 inch plywood top and bottom and the sides were 1x2. Had alittle accessory box, a surg suppressor strip and wall wart for about half the pedals. I made the front flap so it would fold down and the pedals were attached to a thin wood bottom that could be left in or removed from the box. I wanted some kind of quick release latches for the lid, but couldnt find anything. so, I had little flip latches all around it and one key latch in the front and a handle. I worked out ok, but weighs about 60 lbs without pedals.

Here is my original monster:

Here is my new one I built: (Much tidier, two tier, cables all hidden underneath)

I have a couple 1" x 6" planks of wood 2 - 3 feet long with velcro strips running the length that I use as beater pedal boards. These are very handy when I want to throw down an fx setup or two for a guest guitarist or to use with my synthesizers. My main board is set up on a PedalTrain-1.
