Any Fender Mustang owners??

Re: Any Fender Mustang owners??

No, it cannot be locked down. Before you order the parts, find one in a store. I know you said nobody has one, but you really need to see this thing. As soon as you do, you'll understand why we're all being so adamant about it.

Trust me. You'll be really disappointed with it.

is there any way to lock down that mustang trem...i do own a welder hahaha...seriously has it been done any way? and it will still cause problems even without using a bar? this is killing my idea...but i'd rather know now before i spend the cash.

go to www.jag-stang.com look in the forum.
they have done just about everything... i think you should look at the bridge setup up close before you think of things to do with it. The trem is seperate from the bridge. You could probably install the tremplate around the tunomatic, and find a way to fix the strings.

Re: Any Fender Mustang owners??

i was just thinking that, i wonder if i can remove (cut off drill off unscrew whatever it may be) the "floating" part of the 'stang trem and put a typical TOM stop tail in place of it but use the metal base so it looks like a regular "stang (sort of) hmmm gotta do some research. as i said i'm after a look with this guitar but if it doesn't play and sound good...then why bother!

Re: Any Fender Mustang owners??

just did some research...thanks for giving me the jag-stang link!!! it seems the 'stang tremlo CAN be locked in place....sweet, this looks like it may happen now that that is sorted out.

also just found out that graph tech makes string saver adjustable saddles for the 'stang....i think i may be set!
