Any good solid-state amp recommendations? Current offerings or out of production?

Yeah - I'm feeling dirty pot too. And don't forget the headphone option....or even a bluetooth out option for an apartment.

Love the Recto Setting. I mostly live on the 5150 setting, but between Stack, 5150, and recto...Dirt is covered!

Anyone know if the jacks on the Cube 60 are upgradable? I'd like to get some better jacks on there as the stock plastic ones are pretty notorious for breaking.

Finally was able to get ahold of a local tech and it's going to cost me $75 minimum to fix the Cube 60. I'm gonna try to drop it off Friday to get the ball rolling on it's repair. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't cost much more than the $75 minimum as I spent $145 for the amp itself originally. Wish me luck. I'll let y'all know how it all pans out.

Sucks that the ("minimum") cost of repair is already over half what you spent on the amp itself! But glad you could at least find a place- there is a local place here but he practices brand snobbery ("I don't work on ANY Peavey, etc"). Doubt that guy would work on a Cube either. I had a Cube 60 until i traded it toward a Tube amp (Blackstar HT5R- in hindsight should've kept the Cube!) Rectifier setting was definitely my favorite. Good luck!

Living down south has its advantages
Meridian is about 4 hrs from my house

Drop it off

Carvin once told me to remove the tubes and send it to San Diego and they would repair or replace it
For a flat fee of course

The local shop has a 50 dollar bench fee

Yeah I hear you on the first part. I thought pretty long and hard about it and felt it was best to just have it repaired in the end. It makes the situation tougher because the Cube 60 is discontinued and can't be bought new anymore. I considered selling the faulty one for parts and tracking down another but more than likely I'd have to have one shipped in because I wouldn't be able to find one locally (which I wasn't to crazy about). The Cube 60 I have is also in excellent shape cosmetically so it made alot of sense to me to just have the unit I have fixed.

Just got a call, the amp is done and ready for pickup. Turns out the issue was with the input jack. The plastic nut of the input jack was cracked causing the input jack to fall into the unit a bit causing the volume drop issues.
