Any idea why Peavey Cirrus 6's are so expensive?

They're discontinued now, but the Peavey Cirrus 6's are going for well over a thousand dollars now while even the 5's go for much less.

My recollection of the electronics is that some people loved them and, while others didn't hate them, they found them underwhelming. However, the bass was considered to be a high end instrument with a lot of features for what Peavey usually offers. The bass seemed to be getting up in Carvin territory as far as finish, features, and so on.

I thought I'd get some opinions.

Lot of those Peavey basses are undervalued.... Less than a 1000 dollar for a bass wich is a specialty item doesn't surprise me.
