Any opinions on which cabinet these speakers would sound better in?

I already have these cabs and the answer seems obvious, but I'd like some input. I have an old Crate Blue Voodoo cabinet loaded with two G12H30s and two Vintage 30s in an X pattern. I also have an old metal grilled Hughes & Kettner Triamp cabinet loaded with G12H80s that I used to use for my Line 6 Vetta, which I sold.

My question is will the H30s and V30s sound better, the same, or worse in the H&K cab? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to the kind of tones the cabinet woods give, so I need some advice. I know the obvious answer would be swap them and see, but the H&K is a front loaded cab with the head of the bolts inside, so you literally have to take the whole cabinet apart to do a swap. Don't wanna do that without some input. I figure logic would say the H&K cab would sound better, but if the sound difference will be negligible, then I don't want to go through the hassle. In case it makes a difference, my styes are along the lines of Led Zeppelin, Rush, blues, stuff like that.

Thanks dudes!

I don't know enough about either cab to offer an opinion.

Traditionally cabs use either birch or pine. Birch is associated with the British sound and has a tighter "knock". Pine is more associated with Fender cabs.

The G12-80 is a more "American" sounding speaker than most Celestions.

I think these are the two hardest cabinets in the world to find info on the internet for. They both seem to be made of birch, which would make sense since the BV is for a rock/metal amp and so is the triamp cab which came stock with greenbacks. What I've read up on this morning (and of course is all opinion) seems to be that the Blue Voodoo is a very good cabinet, up there in tone with the Marshall which I can attest to because I've been running my Marshalls through it for years and it sounded a tad better than a reissue plexi cab (maybe the speakers were the difference?), but the Triamp cab gets review of "best cabinet I've ever heard, wouldn't buy anything else ever" and stuff like that.

Hmmm. I just painted the grill on the Triamp cab black and it looks sweet too. The old metal colored paint was all banged up from the previous owner who toured with it. Bottom line--I've probably got too much time on my hands now, lol.

I would guess that if both cabinets are of similar size, and both are made with decent quality plywood (most likely birch), the cabs will sound almost the same.
