Any opinions on wiring pickups direct to output thru 3 way switch?

Have a Tone Zone and Air Norton to install. Thinking of avoiding the pot tone influence and manage volume with picking styles.
Have read on a Fralin thread that direct wiring gives a brighter and louder sound.

BTW, searched for old threads and came up empty but sure this has been discussed before.

you can do it and it is a brighter, slightly louder tone. if you never use your volume or tone controls and want more high end, then it might work for you. i would wire in some kind of kill switch so you can turn off the output but maybe thats not something you would want or need

Kill sw is great idea...maybe a sw to splt the bridge as well since have two open pot holes...

I have done this (blower switch) in many guitars and watch out what pickup you are using because things can get too bright really quickly with the wrong pickup.
