any other LES PAUL RECORDING players here?

Re: any other LES PAUL RECORDING players here?

The LP Recording/Personal/Professional guitars have always been a minority sport. They were perfect for Les. I can understand why Steve Howe has one. My own curiousity about the model was never strong enough to actually put any money down on one.

<---- (see avatar) Mine's a Triumph, the last version of the Recording bass series.

I wish they would make a 5-string Recording/Triumph bass. That would own, pwn, rock, kick ass, rule...

The one I have sounds deep enough with 4 strings. An extra 1/2 octave down? Panty-dropper.

Its a Paul. Its a great guitar. Its meant to be run direct into the console/mixer. Thats waht Les did? From what I understand, they can be made to sound great through regular amps by modifying the electronics .
Funny that i dont think anyone ever really has played this guitar into the recording console as Les envisioned. Once before I got a real Paul Std., I was after a friend for a long long time tol et me have his
closeted Recording at a great deal. He didntr need it; he still doesn't and he probably never even remebers to this day that he has it.
Face it though, they are white elephants...that said, as i mentioned, thay are still pauls, and amazing!
