Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

Re: Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

I like the batteries thing the most about mine. Good for writting songs. Obviously you can get better effects, but this gives you a baseline to work from. Sounds decent. Good solo practice amp.

We had a storm knock out the power yesterday, guess who was still jammin'?

And all thru the house, not a creatues was stirring, not even a.........just a micro cube. LOL!!!

+1, but I definitely see where Coin is coming from.

Definitely, no question about that... to be fully honest I noticed yesterday most of my real "practicing" I even do unplugged ;)

Re: Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

I have one next to my desk for practicing. Great little thing. I plan on bringing it to college at the end of September.

Re: Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

I think the MicroCube gives great bang for the buck. I've had mine for a couple of years, and it's held up just fine (knock on wood) getting banged around as a dressing room/hotel room/bedroom amp. In hotel rooms I plug my laptop's audio output into it; it sounds a LOT better than those tiny little laptop speakers!

Re: Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

I love my cube, just learning some SRV playing through it clean right now and its all good:) I do like to have an alright tone when practising. I do agree with Zerb that it is sometimes more inspiring when what you're hearing in your head is the sound coming out of the amp. For a practise amp i find the cube ok, but because i have my laney id love the various OD and distortion channels on the cube to be able to somewhat match it, which it cant sadly:yell: Maybe sometime in the future when i have the money to throw around i would get a nice, more 'real' sounding practise amp. For now, i can still play which is all i really need.

Ditto Zerberus... Tone inspires...
I added an external speaker jack that cuts off the internal speaker and I've powered a 15" Jensen in a custom cab. (originally from an Ampeg Gemini VI combo). I've mentioned this before in a previous string. Ran off batteries and played a coffee house jazz gig this way. Great sound and extrememly portable. I've also used it with a line splitter to feed a small bass amb at the same time to give me clean lows. -lots o' complements...
Best portable amp for the mula, IMHO.
The Behringer series come in next, though they are AC only and no reverb, just some modeling on the electric guitar version -GM108.

Same! If anything, I am more productive that way. Weird.

Re: Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

My brother has a Cube 15. It's a fun little amp to mess around on and a decent beginner or practice amp. I haven't actually tried the Micro Cube, yet.

That's me, usually.

Re: Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

Great little practice amp. Fortunately I now live in the country so I can practice at any volume.

Good tone inspires me to play better and longer, but anything works in a pinch.

Re: Any other Roland Micro Cube users? hehe

it'a a great bedroom amp. i use it for exercise overnight.
we wife would kill me, if i did this with the engl thunder ;)

also for jam sessions where others play eg western guitars, it's ok

what i don't like is the way how full chords sound with it
