Any plans for a Tele Stack Plus?

Re: Any plans for a Tele Stack Plus?

There's already the STK-T3b Vintage Stack and there's the STK-T2b

Does it sound as much like a real single coil as the Stack plus?

Oh yes.....

The new and improved Stacks for Strats. I honestly don't think the Tele versions need any improvement....YMMV

Re: Any plans for a Tele Stack Plus?

I agree with Butch on this. One of the design criteria for the Classic Stack Plus for Strat was to make it as authentic-sounding for Strat as the Vintage Stack for Tele is for Tele.

I think we previously nailed it with the Vintage Stack for Tele.

Now, I think we've got the hum-canceling Strat tone nailed as well.

Cool! Maybe I need to try the Tele stacked pickups then...

As far as Tele Bridge pickups go, my fav used to be the JD. I have grown to really love the STK-T3b. To me, it has such great vintage character with a nice punch to it with no noise. The STK-2b (Hot Stack) isn't quite my cup of tea though. It sounds good but a little too fat and mid-heavy for me.

i have the vintage stack for tele set in my tokai 52ri clone and really love them ... made a $300 guitar sound killer ... really took to the 4-way switch mod nicely too ...

can't even imagine what the helmholtz coil would do for them :D

Re: Any plans for a Tele Stack Plus?

I have a STK-T3b pickup that I used in my tele for awhile. Clean it sounds much like a normal single coil but under gain it has a "strange" compressed tone, also heard this sound when trying different Dimarzio stacked strat pickups. Now I've replaced it with a QP and will deal with a little noise to get that razor sharp tone!
