Any "Scheckies" hang around here?

I know they make much higher end guitars, but I bought a Schecter Diamond Series Gryphon and liked it so much I bought a second one. I think, given that these puppies have Duncan Designed pickups and Grover tuners, it's safe to say they're under valued and flying under the radar. Anyone agree or is there something I'm missing? What are your thoughts about the higher end models? Thanks, Jeff

Im a huge fan of schecter stuff.(often get made fun of for not appreciating the "classics") the quality control has improved massively in the last 5 years as well.

Re: Any "Scheckies" hang around here?

I am a fan of their build quality, their pricing, and the ease with which you can find them.

But not many of their designs appeal to me. Same deal with ESP/LTD. Too much 24-fret/EMG/Floyd love. But I guess that is their primary market. I just don't like a lot of the things that most metal players seem to love.

It seems that Schecter only seems interested in making superstrats now. They make about a bajillion different kinds now. and only a handful of non-superstrat models.

In fact, doesn't Seymour own an Antiquity loaded Schecter used on User Day?

Forgot to mention I've got a C-1 Elite w/ Blackouts.

I dig Schecters. Before I got laid off I was planning on picking a C-1 used on ebay. I need a double humbucker guitar, and they are very reasonably priced and comfortable to play.

Re: Any "Scheckies" hang around here?

I have Schecter Ultra Robyn Fink signature and it is fantastic. Had to swap those Duncan Designed pickups for Entwistle, because they were crap but now it's great.

If you want to explode in your pants, check out the Schecter Japan website. Uber expensive too!

Seymour is indeed a "Scheckie"

Here he is at their company picnic.

Schecter beater guitar $200
Custom Shop Antiquies $300
Seymour Duncan - Priceless

Re: Any "Scheckies" hang around here?

UPS delivered my 2nd whilst I'm here at my 9 to 5 job (before Guitarscapes comes alive). I think I'll crank the Gryphon through my Crate and scare and anger my neighbors (I live in a condo down by the river). I think I can hide all 12 guitars before the cops arrive.

Re: Any "Scheckies" hang around here?

LOL! If you need to hide evidence, ship some to me.. : ) I had a Schecter c-1 model that was a musicians friend exclusive and it was a great guitar. They are very sound, have great features for the price (mine had Duncans) I rolled it during my buy and sell phase, but Id gladly purchase another. They have a LP shaped one now...

Re: Any "Scheckies" hang around here?

Said it on another similar thread but I pretty regularly drool over the Schecters over at Drum City's site.

I really do want one...

Re: Any "Scheckies" hang around here?

I've got a couple Schecters. My C-1 Hellraiser (with Duncans, of course...P-Rails/Fuglybucker), is my #1. Love the quality and tone...at any price. Just so happens that the price was VERY reasonable.
