Any single size similar to Jazz

Just out of curiosity, are there any single coil sized humbuckers that approximate the tone of the Jazz? Hot Rails too hot, Cool Rails seems more like a 59 or PAF, Vintage Rails tries to be more of a single coil. Anyone think of something else?

No. There's no reason for one. A good Strat pickup is already brighter and clearer than any full size humbucker anyway. Lew

I just meant that at least in my mind, the Jazz Neck Humbucker seems to have been created to give a brighter, clearer tone than other humbuckers that were available at the time: early 70's.

I always suspected that Seymour, being a Fender player at heart, was trying to come up with a humbucker design with more clarity and sparkle...like we get from the neck pickup on our Strats. For THAT tone, an SSL-1, Tex Hot, Antiquity II, or any great 6-6.5K Strat neck pickup would probably do the trick.

I've never heard a Strat pickup with the actual tone of a Jazz neck HB...tho the Little 59 neck might be closest.

Seymour Duncan should make "lil" versions of all their best pups... well some of them. Maybe there should be a lil Jazz model humbucker.
