Any suggestions for a seven string under $500 that's in stock online?

I'm turning 39 next friday, and I've decided to "celebrate" by picking up my first seven string. Looking to keep it under $500 if at all possible, could stretch to $700 with sweetwater financing. Will be used for death metal and ye olde deathcore type nonsense, but strictly bedroom as I don't play out any more.

A lot of the stuff I'm looking at looks cheap. Wish Rondo still had their good cheaper sevens.

Suggestions?

Buy something used in good condition, and you'll be able to buy something better.....

Absolutely buy used at that price point. Be very selective and patient.

Sevens are unloaded dirt cheap all the time on craigslist or local facebook ads,,,,,,,smaller buying/selling market means great prices.

Normally I would, but my city's CL market has always been awful. Everything is overpriced and there's rarely anything interesting. Plus it's a ghost town for seven strings.

I have an Ibanez mutt I’d cut a killer deal on. 7321 body and hardware, old MIJ 7621 neck.

Lots of good used options on the guitar center used list. Mostly Schecter, Ibanez and a couple PRS in your price range

I actually ended up finding someone who's a friend of several friends of mine selling an RG7321 for $300 on Reverb, headed to pick it up on Friday. Thanks all!

My first 7 was a Washburn WG587 - highly recommend, get the MIK version

I see you found one, but FWIW, I have an old RG7620 that is quite honestly the best playing guitar I own. The old MIJ Ibanezes are pretty special.
