I know a guy (from another forum) that has one of these. He said it works for him.
However I agree with David on his one. Wrap the strings properly and make sure the nut is well cut and cleaned.
I lubricate and clean the nut with every string change and I have very few tuning problems with my LP’s.
One of them has a tusq nut which works very well. My Std and Studio have bone nuts which also work very well. But again proper maintenance and stringing is key.

The Gibson Moderne headstock has something similar that amounts to little more than screws in the headstock.

I think his point may have been about frequent, extreme bending, especially G string. Would that make you have to replace nut more frequently (yes, noob question)?

A good quality nut that is cut properly should last years without needing replacement. In many cases you may never need to replace a quality nut.

They look like plain Phillips screws in most pics but if you see them from an angle they're actually little brass pulleys. They work fine and don't bind when you're playing; I've been using one off and on since '82 and haven't had any pitch problems during active use. They do make tuning the guitar feel a little funny, though - there's a slight time delay after you adjust the tuner before the string settles to its final pitch. It's odd but you get used to it. Found a good closeup pic of one:

I've seen those String Butlers before and I think they are a pretty good idea. I think it probably helps with tuning stability a bit more and it doesn't hurt to try one out. At least you don't have to drill any holes in the head-stock. BTW...the guy in the OP video plays a pretty mean guitar.
