Anybody else find the DMZ VV's to all be drastically different?

Seriously,

The regular 2.1 is one of my all time favorite pickups. It absolutely sings and sounds great no matter what. Wood, clean, distortion, bridge, neck, trem, etc. Nothing matters, it always kicks ass in a beautiful way.

The VirtuAL 2 Neck sounds good but not great. It almost sounds too thick, but still too boingy. It's a little like the worst of both worlds. It's muddy with distortion and it loses the stratty glassiness when played clean. It works though, it's not too bad.

The VV Heavy Blues suffered the same problem as the 2 neck, except worse. It never sounded good ever. That's all I have to sayabout that one.

In conclusion, I can't believe how good the 2.1 sounds. It also doesn't make any noise at all. I don'tjust mean 60 cycle hum either. Most buckers still make a little bit of noise. The 2.1 doesn'tthough.

Maybe I should try more and see if the 2.2 is cool>

They're all different, but you can tailor them for how you're using them.

I had a Blues in the neck, a '54 in the mid, and a Solo in the bridge. I liked every tone I got out of it well enough, but I sold them off to get real singles and later replaced those with an EMG Dave Gilmour set.

I used to have a solo in the bridge of a strat and it was too bright and harsh on cleans, so i replaced it with a full size bucker and moved it to the neck...best move ive ever done! One of the best neck pickups ive ever heard!

I have a Blues in the neck of my Strat. Very fat sounding....I love that pickup.
