anybody have problems with telecaster string holes?

on the back of the guitars the recent american models have the metal outer casing for the string holes.

my guitarist's have fallen out and i think might be a possible factor in why hes breaking so many strings.

they keep falling out, should i glue them back in?


im going toclean his tele and start cleaning and doing things to help his guitar not break strings like lube the saddles, nut , string trees etc..

i'm assuming they fall out once the string breakes. Glueing back in should sort that out. Make sure that you set them in place properly (using the strings pulling force to help seat snug and straight, handily)

A bit of the right lube ought to help, be sparing though.
Breaking lots of strings can be a problem brought about by other factors. String gauge: Guys wanna pound their axes hard and fast with a set of 9's, using a soft pick and heavy right hand method, old string on crusty saddles...will break lots. Use 11's, and strangely enough (for me) a hard, 1mm thick pick. Be accurate and not too sloppy when strumming large.

He/She should really be doing this themselves...but hey, I've seen folks send their guitars in for re-stringing (hardtail)!

haha well.. hes lazy in that area haha.

ima guitarist at heart and play drums in the band. (istarted playing guitar when i was 15 and im 21 now)

but i have my own strat and i love learning more tech type things about guitars and trying em out. Im going to start testing out my set ups on my guitars instead of poppinng 50 bucks for em
