Anybody here running a CaptorX?

My Church just bought one, and I am curious what IR's folks are running? Will be running it with my PRS Custom 50 head.

I've been running a Captor X since 2021. I have used it both live and for studio work. I have used OwnHammer IR, the OEM DynIRs and some of the Josh Middleton IRs. The stock DynIRs are quite good.

I have one on my desk but beyond checking to see that it worked when I first bought it, I've never used it. I'm just so into using my actual amp's & mic'd cabs to record w/ that my modeling related stuff is gathering dust. :(

Where I am right now, I can't run an amp on stage and don't have anyplace to run a miced cab off stage. I don't want to run a modeler so the Captor X was a solution. The Church bought it. So far the tones are not bad but still haven't really got the cance to work with any IR's or to really dial in my tones.
This was from last night. I was the only live player who could make it and was playing over tracks with all the electric parts pulled out. It doesn't sound like my cab miced, but so far is not too bad.

Yeah, nothing wrong w/ the way it sounds :bigthumb:

It's just that I got it to quicken & simplify my recording process & it turned out that using my amps/cab's was just as simple..if not more so ..since I did'nt have to deal w/ menu's, parameter's and other modeling-related stuff...

Definitely like my miced cab better, but this is actually pretty good and hopefully will get better when I really get some time to work with some IR's and tweak my rig in. Weather permitting here we plan a work day for this Saturday.
