Anybody into Will Ray's Tele madness?

I've got some of his backing tracks. They mistakenly sent me the "Invisible Birds" CD instead of the full version of "Mojo Blues" I ordered. They are sending me the Mojo Blues and told me to just keep the Invisible Birds CD.

IB has a bit more country to it than I normally listen to, but dude can just flat out play.

well, the Hellecasters were a hoot to see play live, because they had so darn much fun playing together

Will Ray is one slidin' fool!

Agreed with both posts above. If you don't have any Hellecasters stuff, go get some and do it as soon as possible. You are depriving yourself of some great playing with a great sense of humor.

I walked into a music store, one time, and there was a small crowd of people standing around watching some badass tear it up. Sounded like WWIII with chicken pickin and slide licks. I finally saw that it was Will. Yep, that boy can pretty much Fukk it up on guitar! LOL

It was his favorite music store in the Valley, Norman's Rare Guitars.

Re: Anybody into Will Ray's Tele madness?

GJ, off topic, but where is this guitar shop? Sounds like I might need to give ole Norm a visit sometime.

I had just got that Invisible birds CD and it was in my truck CD player when I was driving home from my buddy's ice house country dance gig. So, I was already in a country frame of mind. I was totally blown away.

The other thing I like about Ray is that he does something unique for us guitar players. He'll take his existing music and pull out the guitars and vocals and puts up backing tracks for sale. How F-ing cool is that?

You know he's not making much money on that. I'd like to think he's giving back a little bit.
