Im not looking for a regular 12 string bass but one set up like a 12 string guitar but with 3 octave strings. Like the one Doug uses from kings x. I see his is a Hammer but I don't think they sell this no more.
Anybody know a dealer for a 12 string bass?

I bought my Hamer Chaparral 12 string bass from www.bassnw.com . They're usually on Ebay quite often as well. Here's mine along with a couple of other of my basses.

For what it's worth, Doug Pinnick really only used the 12 string bass live. I read an interview with him once and he said he only recorded about 10-15 songs with the 12 string. That interview may be on that 12stringbass site. I'll see if I can find it.

I think thats part of the reason why Doug had such a massive rig and I heard he would split the signal for the highs and lows.
