I'm going to stick my neck out due to the era and say that the JB or the Dimarzio Super Distortion was used...I know alot of those 80s axes came with the JB though...Great player.What a shame he got that terrible disease....

Damn right. And to think he was only 17 when he recorded that album...
Actually, "Perpetual Burn" was the album that inspired me to work on my technique a lot more. It was like: "What?!? This dude is 17? Damn, i've got to work on my chops..."
Cacophony (Jason's old band with Marty Friedman) kicked some major a$$ too. "Speed Metal Symphony" is a ****ing shred fest.
