Re: Anybody know anything more about this Tricone clone?

Doesn't this one state that it's a nickel plated brass tricone? I too have looked for german silver national clones during many bored days. I found that Johnson sold some german silver resonators surprisingly enough (seen below).

Sorry for the lack of information on what you were looking at though.

I know what your sayin' Lew. I have a buddy who has some beautiful 20's and 30's metal and brass bodies They are awesome. I spend a little time over at an acoustic guitar forum and this guy who makes lead crystal slides raves about these. Check them out. I have never played one but the sound clips sound real good.

My friend and slide teacher is having Ian from Diamond bottlenecks make him a signature slide..... from lead crystal. I am waiting for his model to come out before I decide to order mine. They are pretty cool sounding slides.

It does. I guess that's part of what I was wondering...whether it's straight up brass or the brass referred to as German Silver.

My '29 Style O is made from German Silver...sounds better to me than straight brass or steel.

Thanks Dave, You outta talk to Curly and see if you can talk him out of one more Coricidan bottle slide. Those that Curly sent me are my favorite slides I've ever used. Lighter than brass but really great tone! Lew
