Anybody know the exact spacing between the nut and the 1st fret on a 25 scale guitar?

Thanks bro helped a BUNCH! Pulled out my super precise Sterett ruler got the numbers from that site and and looks like the nut was on slightly crooked so loosened and reset it. Re tweaked the intonation and it seems much better now. Been fooled by this one before so will know for certain in the morning when I get it in a full band situation if that got it keep you posted.

Excellent!

I know everyone has their own way to intonate, but match your open note with the fretted 12th and then check the fretted 5th and 17th. All four positions should be in tune.

I also tune just a cent flat so the note is in tune when fretted.

Nut height is not a problem. Action is quite low across the neck and frets are jumbo stainless. This guitar sounds way off in a band situation when tuned dead on 440 A at both open and the 12th fret no matter what I do.

Id fire the bass player for making you sound bad. Hahaha

Interesting. One of my guitars is consistently sharp until the 10th-12th frets and then it's up to the saddle setup.
So I have to compensate it by setting the intonation a bit sharp and tuning them a cent flat or so.

I guess I'll have it's nut checked one of these days.

yeah i know exactly what it is. Did it have that tremolo like mine? Why was it so bad?

The WRC played like a dream and sounded GREAT but the neck was not stable. Just a constant fight with it and on the road it was a crap shoot every night if it needed a tweak or not. The U2 was silver metallic and Nitro. finish first turned purplish where my hands had been on it a lot then green and the finish checked like crazy with in 2 years of the guitar being new, also had VERY soft frets so was showing considerable wear and had to be dressed and crowned by her 3rd year. Played that 1989 DC 200 Carvin HARD for 20 + years many on the road and NEVER touched the truss rod NEVER dressed the frets and it always performed night after night so----.

Well here she was Sunday Morning. This song i was using a lot of "cowboy chords" and it was for the 1st time passable. These strings have some wear so will restring her then tweak a little more as it still was a little weird but it's better. REALLY have to talk to the sound guy as my tone out front sounds like CRAP now that i'm running a miced cab off stage!!
