Hehe, so lately, I've been raving about the digitech bad monkey. Will it replace the tried and true tubescreamer? ..... no. Will it replace the "booteek" pedals that are out there? ..... no. For $39, you can't get a better overdrive pedal.
I won't go into any more details on why I like it, and why so many others who've tried it also like it, but I am interested in knowing if anyone here on the boards have/could/want to try to mod one of these pedals. I know theres quite a few that does excellent tubescreamer mods as well as other pedals. Anybody here give the bad monkey a shot? It's certainly cheap enough heh. I'm thinking about getting another bad monkey and would like to fiddle with it, but am lame when it comes to electronics. It is a tubescreamer clone, so maybe the same mods that are applied to the tubescreamers can be used in the bad monkey. The first thing I would like to do is add some sort of true bypass.
