Anybody own a PRS SE 594 Singlecut?

I kinda really really like the look of the blue one with the flamed top.

Just wondering what your experiences are with them?

I've been pretty vocal in this forum about my negative experiences with PRS SE... but this one is making me want to give them another chance. I've never tried one of these newer Cort-made ones, TBH, so even though I have a hard time believing they've improved, maybe they have.

Just wondering about certain points:

1. How is the overall quality? Is it consistent like LTD? Or is it more of a matter like Gibson/Epiphone where you have to hunt for the right one?
2. How are the tops, overall? In the past, I've had very bad luck with PRS SE veneer tops looking SUPER underwhelming. But most of the online photos I've seen of the Cort ones have been promising. You still see the occasional lemons online, though.
3. I'm aware the pickups would need to be changed. Even if the stock ones are decent, I'm a tinkerer and pickups are one of the first things that I like experimenting with. But how about the tuners? I really like the bone-colored tips aesthetically, and I would want to keep those. Do you think I could?

I just want to double check because local stores don't have that particular blue 594 in stock, so if I went through, I'd probably have to order online.

I played my bandmates 594 SE double cut years ago (I've never played the singlecuts). It was surprisingly good quality. Comfortable as a strat, sounded like a Les Paul. Maybe some of the edges were harder than a strat, in between a Strat and a Les Paul. Nowhere near as boxy as a Les Paul. Tuners were solid and stable, easy to turn but stayed in place. Nut didn't have the typical Gibson kink in it. Maybe you might be more picky than I. I was just using it for a while because the guy was so excited about his he was trying to convince me to get one. Only reason I didn't is because I already had a Les Paul, but if I didn't, I would have jumped on a 594, even an SE. Didn't seem that far away from the regular PRS' in feel and quality. I think it is something like Epiphone and Gibson where 80% of the cost is in that last 20% of quality. You don't get library woods on an SE, but you get an attractive guitar that plays well and sounds good.

If ordering online, just order from a place where the post each one they have by serial number.
