Anybody use .008s for shred stuff?

I'm not interested in playing heavy rythms or anything so i don't need heavy strings. Does anybody here uses .008s and like them?

You'd need to be a very controlled player to play on 8s, they're very small guage strings

i used them for years.

IMHO, they rob you of tone and really arent THAT much easier to play with than a set of 9-46 strings. get used to 10-46 and you'll get good tone and still be able to shred.

i find 8's useless

the other guitarist in my band uses them. He loves his crazy bends and he is more of a lead player. Since im used to .11s i cant play chords on his guitars without accidentally bending notes out.
