Anybody using the Boss GT-3?

I just bought one of these and I'm looking for some good patches and helpful information. You guys have any ideas or suggestions? I'm more of an individual stompbox kinda guy right now and probably have a lot to learn, but I've heard a lot of good things about them. Any comments about the GT-3 would be great. Thanks. :burnout:

I have a GT-3, but I never really got to delve too deeply into it, once I got the Roland VG-88.

I use a GT5 but purely for a special effects engine... i have the preamps, mic and speaker simulations, and overdrive/distortion sections turned off so I get effects presets and not actual preamp sounds.

My take: The od/ds and amp sounds are kinda weak and digital sounding (cuz it IS a digital unit) but the effects are great for live use. I don't use too many effects at one (never more than three) but I DO use a wide variety of them so this works great for me. I was actually looking for a GT3 for this purpose but this GT5 was a target of opportunity (got it used for $75) so I snagged that and it seems to be working fine so far. Changing patches is easier with the GT3 though.
