Anybody want my Jackson DK2M?

Sort of testing the waters here.

I have a modified Jackson DK2M in white that I'm just not bonding with. I keep doing this - buying shredder-type super strats, only to be reminded that I don't get along with 25.5" scale and thin necks. I really wanted to get over my limitations with this one, but it didn't happen.

Resonant alder body and maple neck. Plays great. Sounds absolutely brutal. Action so low it's almost illegal. There's even a nice bit of flame figuring to the neck - nothing extreme - but it's there and visible from all angles.

• No permanent mods have been performed.
• There is no damage to the neck or body whatsoever.
• I'll ship it in the generic strat-style case. It's a good fit.
• The pickup is the deservedly-famous DiMarzio Tone Zone.
• I pulled all the electronics out save for the volume pot and re-wired the guitar as a 1-hum.
• The stickers are all the vinyl type which peal off cleanly and won't leave any permanent marks.
• I don't have the stock pickups anymore, but I do still have the pots, original black knobs, and switch and will send them with the guitar.
• The trussrod tool and all alan wrenches will ship w/ the guitar.

I'd like to get $500.00 shipped CONUS. Oversees buyers are OK, but I'll need shipping. I'll give it a few days here in hopes that a forum bro gives it a good home, but after that it's off to the 'Bay.

Note: If you'd like me to remove the stickers, retrofit the switch/tone pot, and put in a neck pickup I can, but I'll have to charge for shipping.

I can pull the stickers for a buyer who wants me to, but when I do I'll need to put the switch, tone pot, and a neck pickup back in. I can, but I'd rather not.

I figure this guitar w/ an aftermarket p-up and case (which it doesn't come with) for $500 shipped is a pretty good deal.

No chip. You're just seeing a hint of the seam where the binding is joined. As for any damage, please see quoted text/original post.

Not sure removing 2 Seymour Duncans and putting in a white TZ is exactly an upgrade. Seems a bit pricey to return it back to stock. New ones generally cabn be had for around $500 (less case) if you can negotiate the salesman. Not being an A$$, just stating the obvious.

I didn't buy it to sell it - I bought it to play it, and so for my uses a TZ is an upgrade from a JB. The Jazz neck had no use for me at all.

I haven't seen a new one anywhere for under $599. I think cutting $100 off the price and adding a case is fair.

Do you just pay retail when you go out shopping for a guitar? Just for kicks I got the GC salesman desperate for a sale willing to give it to me with a case for $550 out the door no tax. If I didnt get that $210 speeding ticket on the way to GC it would have been mine.

Sorry I am planning on waiting for a used one in stock condition, and probably when the price is under $400. Theres a DK2M on Ebay with a broken headstock for a little more then $200 now I might jump on it.
