Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has tried comparing the Planet Waves classic series instrument cables with their newer AmericanStage series? Apart from the new plug design, they have started mentioning the measurement of the cable capacitance for the first time I think. So if anyone has tried them out, did you notice an improvement over their regular classic/custom series? They are a little more expensive but I wonder if they are more reliable too. Haven't seen one in person yet to try out though.

I've never tried Mogami cables before, the local store doesn't stock them:2:
Well I went & brought one 15' AmericanStage cable. I've never bought expensive cables so this is my first journey into the land of quality cables I guess :14:
Usually I get RockCable(Warwick) from my local music store, I've seen Bespeco cables too but never got those.
Anyways, the cable itself seems solid, the plugs are also cool & lock into place. As far as the sound is concerned, there's more clarity & no tick/click/plat noises coming from the amp when the cable is moved/dropped on the ground. I did a quick recording of the Planet Waves(PW) & RockCable(RC) 10' cable & have attached the files. I used my korean PRS SE Cu with 59N & C5 bridge into a boss gt10. I recorded it using windows sound recorder so I had to manually change the file extension to .mp3 inorder to attach the files here. If it doesn't play in your PC then change it back to .wma
There isn't a significant difference when using humbuckers but it's quite noticeable when using single coils. I hope they release the spool version of this one like they have for their regular classic series. Anyways that's about it
