There isn't one comepany that makes the idea guitar for me- I always want to change something. Maybe it has an awesome neck, great pickups, but no piezo. I generally don't like vintage styles, 80s styles, modern/retro styles, etc.
For a performing instrument, no matter what I choose, I gotta mod it- I must just be quirky, or my needs just aren't being met very well. Playing midi guitar is part of that, as well as liking locking tuners, Duncans (HH), piezo pickups, scalloped necks, rounded corners, light weight, low action, smaller body shape, and raw or satin finished wood. So far, I just get a guitar that has most of that and mod the rest.
If a company made the guitar I wanted, it would never sell, though. Well at least not to anyone else. Anyone else have strange things that they *need* on guitars that they ain't getting from a stock one?
