I bet John (STRATDELUXER97) Could get it quite for you for a fraction of
that price? I'm sure he knows what Caps & IC's to change.

I do, too. It's a nifty mod that works as advertised: clearer tone and less noise. The paint job and replaced LED is cool, too.

I have a pretty good idea after thinking about these mods and I'll experiment on my own GE-7....Bascially we're talking about upgrading the opamp(s) to higher performance(quieter)better caps and metal film resistors in places that'll knock down hiss....And then some cap changes to allow the lowest EQ settings to allow for more overall lowend....I'll learn on my own pedal and let you know the outcome...I simply won't pay someone else for any mods that I can figure out for myself! My pedal is brand new and it might already be quiet and have the noise reducing upgrades already? :wink:

Hehe ... you can always get a Pultec EQ, which is what I'm adding to my rig.

I've actually been considering ditching my GE-7 and getting one of THESE. I saw one in a store but I didn't get to try it out much but if its like any other parametric EQ I've used it should be pretty neat. I can usually find a few of them on ebay.
