Anyone ever teardown a single coil sized humbucker?

I have two Seymour Duncan SC sized humbuckers (lil 59 and JB Jr). I really wanted to wire them for the neck to be coil split south, and the bridge to be coil split north. However this is causing the pickups to be out of phase in the middle position which I do not want.

I thought I would be able to flip the magnet in one of them to avoid the phase issue but SD says their SC sized HBs cannot be disassembled and the magnets are not flippable.

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to disassemble one of these units to see what's inside?

ive never done it but a friend did try to remove and flip the magnet on a lil 59 and killed the pup so proceed with caution

Yeah those are glued down tight. I wouldn't even try it without trying it on a known un-working pickup to see what is involved. A few people I know ruined their pickup this way.

Alot of the time, adhesives that dry stiff and crystally, like epoxy, can be dislodged with a block of wood, a hammer, and a sharp fast, but not too hard of a blow.

Though I've never done this with a magnet, or an sd rails pickup.
