Anyone familiar with this ES-335?

Re: Anyone familiar with this ES-335?

I know that it looks cool as hell :)

I know, that's why I asked. The price is right too if it is a decent guitar. I've just never seen one like that before. I want a white ES-335 but I'm not swinging the $3,300 for a diamond dot (as much as I want and would give my left nut for one).

I don't know about that one . . . I kinda miss the f-holes. It's sweet that it has easy access to the electronics though . . .

Looks more like an ES-333 to me.

Ebony fretboard is more along the lines of what I would expect to see in 1991. Gibson went heavy on the ebony around that time, they were on the Studios as well.

Yeah, looks like a Studio, BB Kings axe is like that too with no F holes, I like it.

Re: Anyone familiar with this ES-335?

The wiring nerd in me loves the back control plate. The audio geek in me loves the fact that there are no f holes to induce feedback. Yet somehow, it doesn't quite look right. I think it's the colour, because I think the Lucille looks awesome.

Re: Anyone familiar with this ES-335?

That's a Studio model, if I'm not mistaken. You're right, they're cool as hell. The lack of f-holes made it less prone to feedback. I never thought they were made cheaply, but they're definitely not as detail-oriented as the real thing. Think LP-Studio...
