Anyone gettin' their Duality on?

The Duality has been available for a couple weeks now and I know a few forum members were interested in these.

Has anyone received theirs? Had a chance to try them out yet?

Just found out mine got backordered for another week or so...ugh!

Re: Anyone gettin' their Duality on?

Supposedly a few had some ordered a few weeks back in Feb, but haven't heard anything.

I don't think there are many in the wild yet. I heard of people getting orders in at the beginning of March, but to be shipped and installed and tested by now might be a little too early yet.

Stork dropped off a package with two little beauties inside... :firedevil

Yep crickets on these for some reason. They have been available since Feb from a few places, and some on this forums said they had them on order, but that is about it.

Re: Anyone gettin' their Duality on?

The Duality is really new to the market. Give it a month or so, and reviews will come in. Many of the people who bought these initially might not be on this forum, yet. This phenomenon happens with any new product. Reviews will come, I promise.

Re: Anyone gettin' their Duality on?

I'm hoping to get a bridge model installed by this weekend in my Jackson Rhoads. I had planned to do it last weekend, but I've been strapped for time.

Despite what Mincer says, I'm still surprised no one else has chimed in about these. I know the reviews will come over time, but there's literally nothing on the entire internet about these. Usually there's some hype around a new product like this, but I'm not seeing much at all.

Yes, sorta like the Jimi Hendrix Signature pickups a couple of reviews out there and a few youtubes two which are Symour Duncans and the Saturday Night Specials one review at Ultimate Guitar and maybe seven youtubes four Seymour Duncans and one Chinese thing that won't load. I don't want to seem negative but gee whiz what is going on? Is my browser a bowser? or What?
EMG Retro Actives seem to be getting a fair amount of YOUtube activity.

A google for 'seymour Duncan Saturday night special review' comes back with 2 new product release posts (not reviews) from online gear magazines and the 3rd is my review.

What search engine are you using?

Re: Anyone gettin' their Duality on?

Seems to be a whole lotta discussion and youtubes on Whole Lotta Humbuckers. Wasn't that the last pickup set Seymour Duncan was directly involved in creating? I don't know but from what I've read it kinda seems that way.

Yes, Lee; tell us; what's going on?

It's useless to pretend: everybody and their dog, including the mods, know who you really are.

Not to mention the Lord HIMSELF knows who you are and what you're doing. How do you think he's rating you right now? ;)

Re: Anyone gettin' their Duality on?

The easiest way to rectify the lack of reviews is to start writing. There are probably others who bought them who don't yet have the time to install them, much less have the skills and drive to write a well-written review. Much less have the outlet to post it (their own gear website, or belong to internet forums).
