Anyone got 3 large to lend me?

I have never been a huge fan of the jooby, but I have only played them with V30 and T75 speakers, and they never did trip my trigger like other Marshalls.

BUT...this Lerxst sig model modded jooby with Greenbacks sounds effin awesome...had no idea Lifeson had ditched his sig H&K amp for the last record and tour. Maybe its old news...anyhoo

make sure to listen in HD.

You have 2 large for asking.

Jubilee's always suffered from constantly being referenced with Slash. It's a Marshall that can do quite a lot, not just the GnR sound. And, any time I've seen Slash's settings, it's way different than how I'd set it.

My first significant gear purchase was a brand new 2555 when I was 17. I remember getting a good deal on it, since the store owner knew how badly I wanted it. $800 plus tax....like $865 out the door. I gigged a lot with that amp during my big hair years.
Like a moron, I sold it in the early 90's for $650. But I have a mint 2550 fullsize Jubilee stack I bought around year 2000 for $1500. No more of those deals to be had. I had to drive out to the middle of the Mojave desert to pick that one up.

Yeah, i guess it does have that association with him Joe, but I never really put the two together, probably because I played the amps before I ever got into the band and never knew he was playing a jubilee until long after the band was dead.. I always thought of the jubilee as that stepping stone to the 900 series.....an experimental type circuit, if you will.

Have you been able to run yours through the creambacks, yet?

Lerxt ... Amps?!

You evil, evil man. Is this your way of getting back at me for pushing Champs on you?? :)

Re: Anyone got 3 large to lend me?

Hell, you can have my neighbors, but I'm not sure how that's going to help get an amp.

Yeah, I've plugged my Jubilee into my JCM 800 212 combo's speakers (V30 and Creamback 65).
I definitely like what I hear coming from the CB65 more than the V30. The Jubilee really reveals the sharp mid hump in the V30.

All I can say is that I'm staying on the lookout for used CB65's, CB75's, and G12-65 Heritage. I'd like to move those 3 speakers into most places I have V30's.

Jeff, there's an amp I'm sure you'd like a lot. The Fargen Mini Plex. It's got two EL-34's but the volume of a two EL-84 amp. I saw a used one for $669 at GC Sherman Oaks, Ca. It sounded great, although I would have liked it better with an FX loop. It's laid out like a single input plexi with a 60's/70's/80's switch.

Re: Anyone got 3 large to lend me?

Very familiar with that model Fargen amp,Joe.. I have never seen one that cheap though on the used market! With the new Les Paul, my purchasing on big items is in temporary hiatus, but maybe I can luck into one at a price like that, later.

I agree with the V30s and Joobies. Exactly how I recall the tone. And the T75s just made it dark and buzzy.
