Then it's more than just a catchy name ha ha.
The one in this has a tiny hum when I switch to it, but all I play is gain so it doesn't really bother me at all.

Lucky, then! I don't use a ton of gain and most P90s are too hummy for me.

Actually now that I swapped bridge pickups... I can't hear any hum at all with the P90, does that mean it's something special in there?

Well, if it is the stock pickup, there might be. It might be some sort of stack technology. You can take a look at it and see if you can tell.
