Anyone have an ESO guitar strap?

Re: Anyone have an ESO guitar strap?

what do you think of it? How "grippy" is the material? I like a strap that doesnt pull my shirt off when I move the guitar around.

What the FARC????

$60 for a strap?

Re: Anyone have an ESO guitar strap?

I'm guessing you haven't bought a strap in awhile. Even the cheap straps are $30. Leather straps a $40-$100.

They start at $10 on amazon... I'm sure a direct batch order from China will be even less

That's cool, if you're happy with the cheapest thing available.

I like nice instrument straps, and that one looks cool.

Re: Anyone have an ESO guitar strap?

I have one. I use a Levi's cotton one now.

The ESO didn't fit well. I got the shortest one but my wife still had to sew it. Now it fits, but it's kinda puffy. I think just a cotton or leather strap will feel better.

And yea, materials wise the ESO is like $3 max.

I just cant spend 30 bucks on something like that

I recently bought a basic cotton strap too. I hafta say, it’s comfortable.
I’ve got a couple of suede and leather straps. The leather ones are nice and comfy but the suede ones tend to pull on your shirt and make you uncomfortable.

Re: Anyone have an ESO guitar strap?

I have a variety of straps. I am currently using an ernie ball cotton/denim looking strap. It's nice but after 3 hours my shoulder and neck are pretty cooked. That's why I thought the eso looks like a good idea.

Re: Anyone have an ESO guitar strap?

We get it Adieu, not matter what someone asks about, you can get something better, cheaper, and most likely direct from China. There, done, we will take this as a standard response in future posts to save you the effort. FWIW, the cheap leather straps are generally unfinished on the back side which can wear on clothing, especially nice shirts, so I prefer a nice nylon strap or if leather, it needs to be finished on the inside and outside like a nice Levy's.

I don't know anything about the ESO straps, but looking at the construction, I would guess it is more grippy than slide-y.

Your wife mods your guitar gear for you?

Where do I get one of those???

Re: Anyone have an ESO guitar strap?

I have a custom made Moody's leather strap that originally sold for $225. I bought it used for $80. It is beautiful, extremely well-made and very comfortable, even attached to a 9.4 lb. Les Paul.

I've paid $70 or more for many of the leather straps on my guitars. A guitar worth $2-3K deserves better than a $2.99 cloth strap, IMO.

I still have the leather strap I bought for my first Martin D-18. It could tell a lot of stories, after 46 years of gigs. The cloth and vinyl straps all fell apart.
