the numbers represent which lugs are in contact with the common lug and correspond to the positions of the switch (1 through 5) ... so with the switch lever in position 1, each lug #1 is in contact with it's respective Common lug


it is actually 4 independent switches in one housing, controlled by the same lever ... the 4 C's are independent of each other (unless you put a jumper wire between some of them)

thanx for the correction T4D - I'm just still a bit confused about the color switch for the bridge...

In this example, the colors are not changed (thats why I didn't change them).

And another thing I just read:
on position 4) you wrote "outer coils parallel" - he wanted inner coils...

yeah, i know what he wants it , but i can't figure it out the way he wants it (yet) ... i was hoping that by posting the way i did it, someone would be able to help find the way to do what he wants ...

in the link you posted, the colors are not switched, but it would HUM in the 3rd position ... if he wants the 3rd position to not hum, he needs to do a magnet flip and a wire switch

anyone else wnat to set us straight?

SUCCESS !!!

everything as asked for - doubled checked - hum cancelling in all 5 positions ... do the mag flip on the bridge pickup and reverse the green/black wires on the bridge pickup ...
