Anyone know of any plugins that emulate the LXP1 & LXP5

One of the downsides to doing everything on the PC now is that I lose the ability (well - it's not impossible but a pain in the butt) to route things through my Lexicon units that I really like *alot*. I have a bunch of plugins (both freeware and licensed) that are nice but absolutely miss the mark in the warmth and algorithms of the LXP 1 & 5. I figure someone out there is probably making a plugin that emulates these but I can't find anything yet.

Anyone have any ideas?

Reverbs are hard to do in the box & have 'em sound really good unless you have a LOT of horsepower...

I'd keep using the Lexicons if I were you!

Better sound & more CPU power for EQ's & other things...

Another thing to consider is sending those LXP's to Jim Williams for modification, they'll come back sounding much cleaner & richer.

"Best" reverb plugin I've used is the EMT plate on the UAD cards... but one instance uses almost a whole card! Big part of the reason I don't mix ITB... while its better then it was years ago, it ain't quite there yet.

A good convolution reverb plugin can do wonders. I routinely use impulses of old EMT's and various rooms/spaces in mine.

I can route out through my Multi channel interface[each channel has a direct channel out/analog] to an analog desk i have or other analog devices and then straight back in,or via the analog desk which goes straight in.:cool2:

Good to know the Jim Williams info on the Lexi's - yeah I was planning on keeping them - they just have some effects that are not attainable so far with what I've seen out there for plugins.

And thanks guys for the input. I'm using a Layla for my analog interface and route the Lexi's through it right now - which is a non-traditional use of the interface but it works.. My recording DAW is doing alright but when I use Acoustic Mirror (which has some nice 'verbs and impulses) my CPU goes through the roof and things get a little glitchy.

I use to have a Layla and route my Lexicon through it too. I agree with Moose boxes beat software. I'm using the UAD cards for reverb now and they're serviceable.
