Will a mono 1/4" y splitter and a latching footswitch work on a parallel effects loop as a way to switch it off and on like a boost? I have my parallel loop jumpered right now on my jcm600, but want a way to switch it off and on. Didn't know if I should post this here or in the pedal board room.

Well...since no one knows, I'm gonna try it anyways, I can get a cheap splitter and one button switch off of amazon, if it works then I'll buy some decent stuff. What's the worst that can happen, it won't work, right?

Bought a hosa y cable and fender off/on single button footswitch from sweetwater....it works!!!! I found that it also cuts the reverb off and on if I want to use it for that too(don't use the on board spring 'verb much, sounds crappy.). I have a crate 2 button foot switch, think I'm gonna try getting a trs male to 2 ts female y cable and see if I can use that for channel switching and boost/reverb switching. That'll reduce a little pedal board clutter.
